Das verkörpert kaum eine zweite Band so gut wie CIRCUS OF POWER!!
Die Band hat 1988 mit ihrem Debut, siehe Classics einen Meilenstein in Sachen "Streetrock" gesetzt!
Nachdem es, leider, einige Zeit sehr still um die Rotzrocker aus N.Y.City wurde, war es mir eine Freude das sich Frontmann ALEX MITCHELL die Zeit nahm um etwas Licht ins Dunkel zu bringen...

Nach einigem regen Mailhagel, Zeitnot, Terminen, erneutem Mailhagel, hin und her, hat es irgendwie, irgendwann doch alles gepasst, und Alex entpuppte sich als sehr cooler Zeitgenosse!

Iceman: "Hi Alex! Es war eine ganze Zeit sehr still um CIRCUS OF POWER, was war da los?
Alex Mitchell: " Yeah, Iceman es war ne lange Zeit, aber es gibt Dinge im Leben, die kann man nicht erklären!
Ich hätte gern schon vor längerer Zeit weiter gemacht, aber vielleicht wäre es nicht richtig gewesen, vielleicht hätten wir es dann niemals mehr hinbekommen.
Die Götter haben es so entschieden das jetzt die Zeit ist, und ich kann deren Entscheidung nicht in Frage stellen! Ich bin bereit den Weg zu gehen!
Iceman: "Alex, wird es einen neuen Release von C.O.P. geben? Titel?
Alex Mitchell: "Ricky und ich schreiben grad neue Songs, und wenn wir gutes Material haben, und das werden wir, das weiß ich, dann werden wir uns nachjemandem umsehen der diese Songs veröffentlicht!
Es wär fucking cool ne neue Scheibe am Start zu haben, ich würde es lieben!!
Iceman: "Ich hab euch vor Jahren in Berlin gesehen, wo ihr als Support von BLACK SABBATH unterwegs wart. Viele meiner Kumpels sind gegangen nachdem ihr euren Set fertig hattet, nach dem Motto "Die alten Kerle von Sabbath wollen wir nicht sehen!" Was ist der Deal? Kommt ihr mal wieder in unseren Breitengraden vorbei?
Alex Mitchell: "Ob wir jemals wieder nach Europa zurückkommen? Hell, Yeah, sobald uns jemand einlädt! Das beste wäre es für uns ne neue CD zu machen, und dann rüberzukommen!
Iceman: "Alex - was ist für Dich wichtig im Leben? Was zählt?
Alex Mitchell: "Was im Leben zählt? überleben und ein guter Mensch zu sein. Das ist es!
Iceman: "Du hast ein Buch geschrieben, erzähl mir was darüber, wo kann ich es bekommen?
Alex Mitchell: "Ich schreibe seit einigen Jahren, ich mag es zu schreiben!Das Buch ist erhältlich über http://www.lulu.com/de und heißt "LIFE IS A PHANTOM KMART HORSE STARTING UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT", es handelt sich dabei um Kurzgeschichten, die Leute scheinen darauf zu stehen, was mich natürlich sehr freut!
Iceman: "Was ist die Story zu euren Tattoos, welche Bedeutung steckt dahinter?
Alex Mitchell: "Unsere Tattoos haben verschiedene Bedeutungen, aber hauptsächlich lässt man sie sich doch machen weil sie cool aussehen!
Aber in einem Fall zum Beispiel hab ich meinen Hund auf der Innenseite meines Beins geinkt!
Ich hatte diesen Hund für 15 Jahre und hab ihn sehr geliebt!
Er hieß "Tanka", war eine Wolfsmischung, also dieses Tattoo bedeutet mir sehr viel!
Iceman: "Ok, Circus of Power! Alles Gute für die Zukunft! Gibt es noch ewtas das Du unseren Lesern sagen möchtest?
Alex Mitchell: "Letztlich möchte ich mich bei jedem bedanken der uns in der Vergangenheit unterstützt hat, und uns auch weiterhin treu bleibt!
Es bedeutet uns sehr viel, und ich möchte das dies auch jeder einzelne erfährt! Thanx a lot!
Dann träumen wir noch davon uns einen Wunsch zu erfüllen:
Queens of the Stoneage, Wolfmother, Motörhead, The Cult und Circus Of Power auf einem Billing, das wäre die Erfüllung unseres Traums!!

Alex Mitchell: " Yeah, Iceman yeah, it's been a long time but there are things in life that you can't explain. like, I would have wanted to do it a long time ago but it might not have been right and then it would have been shot forever. the gods have decided that now is the time, and I can't question their judgement! I'm ready to go all the way
Iceman: "Alex, will there be a new relase from C.o.P.? Title?l?
Alex Mitchell: "Ricky and I are writing songs now, so if we come up with good material which I know we will then we'll see about somebody putting it out. It'd be fuckin cool to do another record, I would love it!!
Iceman: ", I saw C.o.P. years ago, in Berlin, when you played support for Black Sabbath, and a lot of my friends left the location after you finished your Show. "We just came for Circus of Power, we dont want to see the old men from sabbath on stage!!" Whats the deal? Will you come here again?
Alex Mitchell: "Will we ever go back to europe? Hell yeah, as soon as somebody invites us. The best thing to do would be to put out a new cd and then make a move.!
Iceman: "Circus of power, what is for you the most important thing in life??
Alex Mitchell: "Most important thing in life? Surviving. Being a good person.That's it!
Iceman: "Alex, you wrote a book, tell me something about it! Where can I get it?
Alex Mitchell: "I got into writing over the last couple of years, I like doing it. My book is available at http://www.lulu.com/de it's called "LIFE IS A PHANTOM KMART HORSE STARTING UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT" and it's short story type things. People seem to like it, that makes me feel good!
Iceman: "Circus of Power, what is the meaning of your great Tattoos?
Alex Mitchell: "Our tattoos have all different types of meanings, but mainly you get tattoos because they look coo but, in one case, i got my dog's paw print on the inside of my leg. I had that dog for fifteen years and loved him very much. his name was 'TANKA" and he was part wolf.
So that one is very meaningful to mel!
