LAUREN HARRIS - mal nachgefragt German/English

Here We Go!

Hi Lauren! I saw you in Dortmund, Westfalenhalle, where you supported Iron Maiden, and I thought:Hm, great looking, great singing young Lady, tight band, good songs - please introduce the band to our readers, how did you found together, whats the story, what's going on?

LaurenHarris: "Thank you very much…

As it came time to put a band together, my managers
and I started looking at musicians. Tom McWilliams (drummer) is also my producer and co-manager. (Tom McWilliams is an American Grammy winning writer/producer who has played with Jon Secada and Critical Mass).
Richie Faulkner (Zodiac Mindwarp, Voodoo Six) had worked with my Dad in the past and was brought in as we started doing gigs and working on the Record in 2005.

Randy Gregg (Thin Lizzy, Angel, Dee Snider) who one of my managers worked with when Randy was in Angel replaced our first Bass Player.

It has worked out great; I've got great guys who are excellent musicians…. It has turned into a real band!

These guys kick ass!!!

Iceman: " Is there a record out?

LaurenHarris: " No… We purposely had not taken a "Record Deal" last year, as we were still 'fine-tuning' the way I wanted the band, the songs and the record to sound.
We were lucky enough to tour last year and that really helped me do that, by playing the songs live first.!
Iceman: "Tell me, why did you play a covertune (G.U.N. - Steal you fire) in your set? Doesnt have enough own songs?" ;-)

LaurenHarris: "No (lol) fortunately, there is no shortage of originally written material. I have always loved that song… and it is among the many we have recorded for the first record release.
Iceman: "You did a great Job in Dortmund, when do you started into music? Was your Father a big Influence?"

LaurenHarris: "I have always been into music… sung in school plays and chorus; I had also worked with a voice teacher. I love Maiden and the other types of music my Dad has exposed me too! I got my love for Classic Rock from him, as there were always all kinds of music being played in my house growing up. My Dad is a huge influence on me!
Iceman: "How is it? Is it more a stepstone to be the daughter of Mr.Steve Harris, or is it more a "Stone in the way", because I can imagine - everybody who knows your great Dad, expect more from you than from a "normal Newcomer", isn't it more pressure to you?

LaurenHarris: " It's a double-edged sword, really…

The good… Obviously… There are many advantages and opportunities I have being Steve Harris's daughter.

The bad… is that some people have pre-conceived notions of who I should be and what my music should be like!

In the end it is great, because some people hold me to a higher standard, it makes me twice as motivated to get out there and give it my all… every song, every night, to
show everyone I what I am doing here!!
Iceman: Ok, Do you have a strange, or even a funny thing to tell to our readers from beeing on the road with Iron Maiden and Trivium?

LaurenHarris: "Not really… Both bands are great to work with… I have known the Maiden guys all my life, (kinda like my "Uncles" so they were (As always) very supportive.

The Trivium guys (both band and crew) were so nice…
It was great…. They would wish us well on our way to the stage and we would do the same for them…
Very supportive!!!!
Iceman: "Whats the plan for the next future? Videoproduction or something? Or stay on the road for a while

LaurenHarris: " We have shot a proper video for "Your Turn"

In addition while on tour in Japan we also shot a live video for
"Let Us Be" which is like a "live concert and life on-tour" kinda video.

We will also be back on the road in March and will tour on and of through out the summer…
Iceman: What do you think about the German fans?

LaurenHarris: " The German fans are great! Very supportive!!! We had a few groups of fans that followed us around on the tour… even brought us gifts!
We receive quite a bit of mail from the German fans… It's wonderful, I am so grateful!!!
Iceman: "Ok, Lauren, thank you very, very much, for taking the time for me, is there anything left you want to tell our readers?"

LaurenHarris: "Just once again…. The band and myself really appreciate all the love and support we have got either on tour or in letters and comments on the Internet!

I cannot tell you how much it means to me!

The record should be out soon and I hope we will see you out there again very soon!

Keep Rocking!!!!

Asse?
